CUFL (July 06) Part 2

Before i go on to part 2 of CUFL, let's take a look as Uncle Neo challenges the impossible:

Applause for Uncle Neo as he attempts to finish the largest donut i've ever seen. Haha.

Day2 (28 July 06)
in the morning after we woke up, we walked to chinatown and settled at this row of food stalls.

uncle thong and i queued up for yongtaufoo but lo and behold! they dont sell noodles with the yongtaufoo! and the stall owner pointed to behind us and asked us to go to the back and buy. we turned around and saw chee cheong fun instead. no noodle stall! puzzled and lost in the sea of cantonese, we decided to just eat the liao4 without noodles. when it was uncle neo's turn to buy, he bought back the safest food of all times: fish ball noodles - as he was scared that there would exist miscommunication between a fake kentang and a cantonese speaking crowd. CUFL spirit lives on as we ordered another plate of chee cheong fun to share. CUFL forever!!! woohoo!

we walked along Petaling street (aka chinatown) and got bored, we went on to central market to see whats in there for us. as proud participants of CUFL, we rested ourselves in secret recipe.

and the evil guys snatched my sofa seat away!

next we hopped to the adjacent shop and tried the xi mut milk tea (shen me? shen me milk tea?) and old town white coffee.

can anyone explain the pained look on uncle neo's face? haha.

we believe in preserving the endangered, hence we patronised A&W again!!! curly fries never seem to be enough. munch munch munch.

and we reached the place for all BBMs:

connected to BB plaza was sungei wang, according to my brother, this guy called wang opened it. at sungei wang plaza, we noticed that shopkeepers in malaysia tend to keep close to you. i speak from personal experience. at a certain shop in sungei wang, there lived a salesman who follows you around in a 15 to 20-cm radius and tells you the price of everything you touch. on top of that, he sings to the music played in the shop. it was total terror.

and off we went on the bustling streets to Lot 10:

oh, i forgot to mention, we learnt a special skill in KL - crossing a busy road without fearing. and uncle thong has successful mastered that skill to the most advanced level, even beating the locals at it!

long live CUFL! 3 persons eating a 4 persons meal.

along with uncle heng's share, we gobbled down the food...

till nothing was left...

walking around Giant in Sungei wang (yes, we went back there.) we saw several interesting foodstuff and super good deals! 1 King's icecream drumstick for 0.99 RM! with the exchange rate of 2.31, the ice cream effectively costs 0.428 SGD!!! how cheap can it get.

as we exited from the carpark near giant, a strong gust of wind almost blew 2 guys away! i took down the evidence and here i shall present the evidence in this report:

uncle neo's hair suffered in the process.

following the near tragedy, we calmed our nerves by eating duck satay! the CUFL flame burns on...

uncle neo has been suffering from hiccups since day 1 and uncle thong (as mentioned along with aunti grace's secret remedy in the previous entry) came up with a unique remedy of his own. when uncle neo turned around to face uncle thong, uncle thong whispered a "Boo". this got uncle neo and i laugh till we pengz.

enjoying the night breeze on the KL streets at about 1 plus 2 am, we decided to pay a visit to the famous hard rock cafe KL. fumbling with the map in hand as i took over the role of steering our directions, we finally reached hard rock cafe!

dressed in slippers and uncle neo and uncle thong in berms, we concluded we were unable to enter, hence we sat outside hard rock cafe listening to the live band that was inside the cafe.

along the way we also passed by the voted best bar in the world (or asia?) - Beach bar. the music was so good it got us loitering outside for about ten minutes.

after the treacherous walk from chinatown to somewhere near our hotel (times square that area) to hard rock, we slowly walked back to our hotel to have a good night's rest before continuing our journey again. and that reminds me. we did not take train the whole of the 2nd day!

Please anticipate the final instalment of the CUFL trilogy.
